There are several scenarios that I look forward to every year that make for great pictures. You've seen some of my favorites this fall, like the kids Halloween costume pictures and their half birthday pictures.
This time of year, I also hope that I can take pictures of the kids playing in the leaves in the back yard. I think we've only accomplished this once, a couple years ago, because of our schedule and the weather. This year, we finally had some time to do this on a nice day and both kids were in the mood to be photographed. The rest of my post will be short on words and long on pictures. Enjoy!

Quinn loved playing in the leaves. |
Joe wasn't too thrilled to do yard work, but it's gotta be done, ya know?! |
Action shot!! Look at Quinn's wind blown hair!! |
Not the greatest quality but the look on Mitchell's face is priceless! |
Joe gave him a bat that is in every picture with him until the end!! |
He's so funny looking from behind. |
She wanted to be buried in the leaves. |
I love those big smiles! |
Mitchell looks like the Chucky doll from "Child's Play!" |
I hate that the neighbors house ruins the shot of Quinn throwing leaves on Mitchell. |
Sometimes my pictures suck. But not this one. |
Joe made me get in and throw some leaves around for a couple shots. |
It was fun. |
And that's not all, folks! I ended up taking these pictures just in time because just a few short days after I took these pictures, my backyard looked like this:
That's what about a foot of snow looks like from my back porch. |
And here's my house from the front:
The heavy snow weighed tree branches down... |
... and broke the branches off entirely in some cases. |
But how can I complain when my house looks so beautiful from the street!? |
So, how's that for perfect timing?! I'm just glad I didn't wait any longer to do my fall leaves pictures!
Oh and I know I usually put up an outfit refashion on Mondays, but with the snow, losing power (I'll get into that more on my next post!), several Thanksgiving celebrations, and getting sick (Waaahhhhh!!!!), I haven't found time to break out the ol' sewing machine. But I promise, I'll make up for it, maybe. Probably. I'm not sure. I'll try, though!! (-;
